Finna' spark an L and have myself a Big Mac attack...

Since my computer's been without the Internet for months and months prior to me and the boys moving into a new house, I've not been best equipped to update this shit. However, now I am, so let's get straight into it. My summer has been rather uneventful to say the least. I left my job at the Odeon hastily to begin a new one at The Factory nightclub in town (the best club in town in my humble opinion), and found that I would spend the next three months of my life (and my entire summer) in poverty. This did indeed happen, and so I mostly lounged around with my three housemates and my bro's from FAC. Now, things are on the up, as my life will once again fuse the normal with the crazy as the next academic year sets upon us.

One thing that I've enjoyed about the free time I've had all summer is the amount of music I've been sinking my teeth into. Currently I'm recommending the Brooklyn rap trio Das Racist (super-cool lazy hip hop introduced to me by housemate Jamie), the new album from the Sacramento-based hipsters !!! entitled "Strange Weather, Isn't it?", and Interpol's self-titled 4th effort.

Also, I can't stop listening to Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs". In my opinion its up there with "This is Happening" as the best album of 2010. The lyrics are incredibly honest and the music is as epic and driving as it always has been. Each time I press "play" I become even more gutted that I wasn't there at this year's Leeds Festival to see them perform their new material. I suppose there's always the forthcoming gig at the G-Mex, but fuck paying a ticket tout's rent for the next 12 months...
